China Glaze - the very subtle Riveting

Hi Goddesses

As some of you will know, I have been on quite an orange kick lately.   It's gone from a colour I NEVER wear, to being an instant dose of brightness and happiness that makes me smile.   However, despite my progress, I wasn't prepared for quite how ORANGE Riveting would be.

Riveting is perhaps the most intense orange I have ever seen.  This is Jaffa on acid.  It's a deeply pigmented shimmer, loaded with fire and gold light, that makes it look like liquid lava once it's on the nails.

However, there's an obnoxious neon quality to it too - only very slightly - that means in some lights, it's way too ORANGE for me.  However, get it in the shade, and it puts itself on dim, turning a gorgeous almost burnt orange colour which really allows the sparkle to stand out.

On the nail, this sparkles ALL DAY.  I'm quite thankful today was a typically dingy British day, cos I really think you might need to wear sunglasses to cope with this one on a bright day.

I don't know, maybe I was feeling a little bit moody on the day I wore it.  Looking at the photos tonight, 4 weeks after I first wore it, it still wows me the way every single photo of it wows me.  I must have been overly emotional that day lol.

So, to have a little play, I then coated one hand with matte polish ... just because, well, because I could :)  It still looks intense mattified, and I can't wait to see how it compares to Manglaze Butt Taco.

Enjoy xx :)
