Renaissance Cosmetics - Emerald Envy

Hi Goddesses

Today I have the 3rd of the 4 polishes I was sent for review by Renaissance Cosmetics.   This one is called Emerald Envy, and you’ve already seen it as the base for my daisies manicure a few weeks ago.

You all know I don’t love greens, but there is much to admire in this polish.  Again, it’s a one coater, but it’s the amount of gold in it that catches my attention.

This is like mown grass on the nail.  Grass that had buttercups and wild flowers in, and got tumbled in the wind.  There’s so much movement in this polish, and it’s the blend of it that I love.  This is no boring polish.

For artsies I did a waterfall mani – it’s such a simple addition to any polish base.  I used a mix of polishes over the base and like how they all blended with that tumbled grass feel.

These polishes were sent to me for an honest review, and can be purchased HERE.

OPI Brazil Skittle Waterfall

Hi Goddesses

I hope you all had a good long, relaxing weekend.  I had a MILLION nail ideas in my head ... until my sinuses interrupted and slammed me into bed for most of the weekend.  Still, I did rearrange my Pinterest boards ....

I've been sat on this mani for a little while now, and it's been hard BECAUSE I LOVE IT SO MUCH, but I wanted to show it after you saw the skittle it was created on top of - and you saw that in Saturday's SIMPLES post - here.

The Waterfall remains incredibly easy to do, and it has fast become one of my fall back nail designs.  If I'm stumped, I find this a really easy (and quick) one to rock n roll with.

This features all the brights from the OPI Brazil Collection, and a little bit of Don't Bossa Nova Me Around, too.  So we have -
thumb - I Just Can't Cope-acabana
index - Where Did Suzi's Man-go?
middle - Kiss Me I'm Brazilian
ring - Toucan Do It If You Try
pinkie - Live.Love.Carnaval.

Digit-al Dozen DOES Red, Gold and Green - Christmas Waterfall

Hi Goddesses

This year, rather than an overtly Christmas theme, the Digit-al Dozen have decided to do with the traditional Christmas colours of red, gold and green.  Whilst I am sure some of the girls will conjure up all sorts of magical Christmas nail art, mine, for the most part is patterns, as I wanted to show you that you don't have to draw Santa to have festive nails.

Today's mani I absolutely love.  I've been adoring the Nailasaurus's Waterfall manis from afar, and something about this month's colours seemed perfect for my first attempt.

On base we have OPI My Vampire Is Buff, and the pattern is made with mostly (but not exhaustively) Barry M polishes - I think I used about 6 or 7 in the end.

For some reason, this just WORKS and I really love the finished result.  It also reminds me of the tattered ends of elf trousers lol :)

If you haven't attempted the Waterfall yet, you really should.  It's super easy - and that's exactly how nail art should be.
