Zoya Nidhi Fruit Slices

Hi Goddesses  

It's Stamping Week on the blog this week.  I've amassed all sorts of fails, semi-fails, semi-successes and "oooooh not bad"s over the last couple of months, and I'm going to share them with you this week.

Nidhi is a gorgeous almost-red.  She's a mish-mash of red, a leeeeeeeetle bit of orange, and a teeeeeeeensy bit of pink, all lashed together with some summery shimmer.

I used my beloved DRK-A stamp and Konad white to create this pattern.  I think they're flowers, but they also look a little like fruit slices to me :)

I left the ring finger clean as an accent just so that you can see how pretty and perfect Nidhi is.  This would have been a total success for me apart from the slight blurring of some of the images - I think I pressed too hard :(

Finally, I added a bit more sun, courtesy of Northern Lights holographic top coat and ta-dah !!!  Tres summery !

The Battle of the Red-Oranges

A few weeks ago, I bought a Picture Polish called Vegas, and fell in love with it.  I then realised it might have been similar to another polish I owned, so I did a comparison post - see here.

Well, fast forward a couple of weeks and I seem to have 2 MORE polishes that look similar, so I decided to a fuller comparison.

You ready ?  Here we goooooo:

* thumb - OPI Animal-istic

* index - HITS Hula

* middle - CG Riveting

* ring - Zoya Nidhi

* pinkie - Picture Polish Vegas

First thoughts - uh oh.

Closer inspections - 

* thumb - Animal-istic is super shimmery, with lots of light threaded through it.  It's a notch or 2 lighter than Nidhi and Vegas

* index - Hula, aaaaah Hula.  Love this so much.  Her flakiness sets her apart

* middle - Riveting.  Totally different to the others.  Not only lighter, but look how it HOLDS the light, like a secret.  Faintly metallic, very electric

* ring - Nidhi - glorious.  Just-red, with shimmer and tones of orange and pink.  Glorious

* pinkie - Vegas - gorgeous .... and er .... shit that looks similar to Nidhi.  MUST be a difference somewhere.  Looks closer.  Nope, can't see it.   But she's sooooo pretty.   Sisters should stay together, right ?

Actually, actually ... yes, hold on ... yes, under my Gazillion Microscope, I can see ... yes ... definitely different .... more shimmer in Nidhi.   Only by about the weight of half a gnat's fart, but it counts, right ?

Whichever of these you own, they're a joy.  There's something about this type of colour that makes me feel happy inside.  And YES, I doooooo need them all ;)

Ringing in the Hope of Summer with Zoya Nidhi

Oooooh this is a right little stunner :)   I think this was from one of the special designer boxed sets Zoya did a couple of months ago - in typical style, mine came from ebay lol.

Nidhi is perfect for summer.  It's pretty much a perfect summer colour, and the shimmer is just meant for sunny days.   There's a fantastic amount of vibrancy to this colour as well, although my photos are washing her out a little bit.

So I've posted a couple of polishes recently which are uber-oranges with one foot dancing on the Red Line; this, however is a just-about-red polish with both dancing - one on the orange line, and one on the pink.   It's a very soft almost-red with orange and pink sub-tones.  The orange is more prevalent, but the pink is what lends the softness.

As with all Zoyas, this applied dreamily - this is 2 coats with  Poshe on top.   I think this baby is made for summer gradients, so expect to see a lot more of her.  The only reason I've not jazzed her up today is that I need to do a new comparison post on my red-oranges.
