Today sees the end of the GOT Polish Challenge as it currently is. From next week, it gets replaced with the 52 week Pick n Mix Challenge, although you can still apply the GOT rules if you want to.
I wanted to commemorate the moment lol, but this is not the final prompt - this is the prompt from a couple of weeks ago: a polish you've ignored for too long.
I got DS Glamour in a swap after wanting it for ages. Did I want it because it's awesome, or because it's so HTF? Ah, now that's the question, and I think the fact I rarely use it hints at the latter. Also, I feel I shouldn't waste it lol, so again, rarely used.
It's a lovely denim holo, and I do love these old OPI DS polishes for that. It has a dreamy formula, and it's just lovely. Notice that for me it's not "sexy" or "amazing".
Last year Ninja Polish released a dupe called Glamorous and I thought I should finally compare them. Ninja is on the middle and ring fingers.
They are very similar, but Ninja has the volume turned up a fraction. It's like the older OPI looks ... old .. on the nail, and the new kid on the block has a little bit more dazzle. It's more vibrant, slightly more intense, the colour is deeper.

Some new stuff today in between all the de-vaulting!
This week's GOT Polish Challenge is Stripes, and I've gone for something super subtle.
When I was making the red stash video, I realised I hadn't worn Deborah Lippmann Footloose for the longest time, so I immediately put that on my nails. It's a gorgeous, vibrant, orange toned red, and I love how glossy and glam it is.
I dithered with what to do for stripes. I considered stamping, tape and then - boom, freehand.
I added my stripes with a KIKO red texture polish 632, and whilst I thought they would stand out a little more, I quite like how subtle this is. The colours matched more than I expected, but overall, I think it works.

Woah, we are at the END of the week! And you know what happens at the end of the week? The weekend!!! Wooohoooo. Luckily, I have the next 2 weeks off work, which gives me 17 days in the nail room. Wow, I just don't know HOW I'll fill my days lol.
This week's GOT Challenge was glitter topper, and it was with shame that I realised how many I had to choose from! I fell out of love with glitters about a year ago and haven't bought *that* many since, but I still had a whole heap of them in my untrieds!
I chose Motherboy by Happy Hands because I love Happy Hands - both the name and the polish - and I haven't worn all the pretties I bought some time ago.
Motherboy is a lovely pastel glitter, full of muted, but not dull, shades, and in a mix of shapes - including squares!
The glitter looked like petals to me, so I chose a green base, and went with another untried - Cuernos del Paine, from Elevation Polish, although I'm not completely sure it's a yearling.
C del P is a yellowish green (surprise - I don't really have any of them in my stash lol) and I bought it perhaps thinking it would be a bit mintier. Although the colour is nice, it's not really me. Application was as great as you would expect though.

Ugh, today was an utter sweat box at work. No air con, no windows, fans swilling the warm air round like a fan oven .... luckily an hour in an ice cold bubble bath has helped. Result!
Now this may surprise you, but I do have actual untried holo polishes in my stash. I know! Often, I forget they're there, in the untried box, and these ones have been sat there so long, they're even the old bottle shape!
Let's start with Chirality Bloodshot, part of my "perfect red holo" quest. This is a lot more intense than most reds I own, so much so that I would hesitate to call it red.
This is oxblood, deep and dark, and yet, as you can see, it holds a surprising amount of light. This is deeply saturated, almost burgundy.
Apollonia - I bought this cos it was purple DUH but actually it's more of an indigo. There are definite blue tones in there, like very dark jeans.
In fact, it's almost like the purple equivalent of dark denim lol, or the purple version of navy. Again, for a dark polish, this holds a LOT of light.
Although both of these polishes are from Chirality's original range, they are both still part of the product line. For those of you who prefer your holo scattered, you can't do much better than this :)
