Taupe Holo Beaded Curtains!

I hope you're enjoying Stamping Week - it's certainly helping to get the Vault emptied!

This is one I did a few weeks ago when I did my Taupe of the World comparison post - here.  It was stamped with a design from Cheeky Plate B (large) and Color Club Worth The Risque, a stardust infused biscuit holo.

So, why the title Crumps ?  Wellllll, it reminds me of those beaded strip curtains you used to get in shops in the 80s that separated the main part from another room, and you could walk through them and have them drape all over you lol.

I like the subtlety of this mani - it's so not me - but it works, and for those of you looking for an office mani, this could be an option.

The 2 photos under the halogens are my favourites - they really show how even a subtle polish can be wild in the right light!   Also, if you're wondering why the little finger looks lame, it's because it was in a paler taupe, and the contrast just isn't there.

And yes, there, on the thumb, yup, that's me trying to double stamp to cover an error .....

Day 16 – Fairy Lights

I’ve had a few differing ideas for this one, and in the end just got a bit muddled and could not decide which idea to go with.  I knew I wanted my lights to just be dots, but I have LOVED the manis I’ve seen where they have done lights on the wire – they have been awesome.

So, 5 nails, 3 bases.  Thumb and pinkie are based in CC Revvvolution, middle finger is CG Glittering Garland, and index and ring fingers are CG Cosmic – a black with silver glitter.  All were 1 coaters.  I was tempted to add a 2^nd, but didn’t want to create too much dazzle for my lights to compete with!

The thumb and index finger are basically dot patterns, made with a variety of CG Twinkle Lights (how could I do this mani without using that) and CC Worth The Risque and Fashion Addict.  I picked dark backgrounds to represent the outdoor lights people do.

On the ring finger I took this a stage further.  We have some crazy people near us to do unbelievable Christmas displays in their gardens, so this is an example of one that I see regularly – a twinkle light Snowman, with hat of course.

Little finger is the word XMAS – my first real writing – haza!

And then the middle finger, possibly my fave, just CG Glittering Garland and CG Twinkle Lights to represent the lights on the Christmas Tree.

I quite like this, but I wish the thumb and index weren’t quite so similar – in my head they were going to look more different, but it didn’t quite happen!

COLOR CLUB – Worth The Risque

Hey gang of goddesses.  I have to confess, I’m a little bit in love with Color Club  right now.  I hadn’t heard of them in the UK, and then through various blogs came across them.  I’ve bought quite a *ahem* few, and I LOVE!  The bottle is chunky, they apply easily, they do the best ever range of purples AND they do holos.  And this, my lovelies, is the holo-tastic Worth The Risque.

(sorry, only 1 coat because I have other things I need to do with for my PAA Monday mani)

This really isn’t my sort of colour.  It’s light, it’s bright, and I of course am a dark, vampy child.  However this is HOLO and it would be rude to only buy the dark ones.  Right ?

Worth The Risque is a lovely light meringue of silver-grey and pixie dust.  It’s a super light confection of a colour and just so damn pretty!  This is what all the fairies would be wearing in FairyLand if we were lucky enough to spend a day there J

It has beautiful holo going on AT A REASONABLE PRICE.  Really, there’s nothing not to love about this.
