GOT Polish - Coral

Hi Goddesses

I hope Sunday treats you well.  Me, I'm happy as I appear to have some mojo back.  I spent yesterday editing loads of photos (after being dragged into involuntary gardening tasks), and I genuinely want to post them, so hopefully this is the start of my return :)

Ok, this post should have happened a couple of weeks ago - it was the prompt for the day of my car crash, which was the final nail in my "I need a break" coffin lol.

Coral is a colour I haven't had a lot of love for - ever.  Are you pink, are you orange, are you orange on steriods?  What ARE you?   But last year, all that changed with this polish - FNUG Flip Flop.

I don't know whether it's due to skin tone, but not only was this the first time I ever liked a coral, it also opened the door to lots of other corals (surprise!).

For me, this is a happy mani - just perfect for a happy, hopeful post on a happy day :)

#33DC - Day 5 - Mexican (with Cheeky Jumbo Plate 1, Viva Mexico)

Hi Goddesses

And here we have Day 5 of #33DC, and you're quite right, I haven't posted Day 4 yet.  Apologies, my sinuses have been doing their best to destroy me.  All I want to do is cry and sleep, and I am massively behind.  However, Day 4 is on the right paw, as we speak, and Day 6 is on the left, so we're catching up :)

I wasn't really sure what I was going to do for Mexican, other than it would involve hot colours and Cheeky Jumbo Plate 1, Viva Mexico, which is filled with amazing designs.

On base is Lilypad Lacquer Sweet As A Peach, a gorgeous dark peach holo, and on top of that, I sploshed some other warm colours.  Sploshed is a technical term, here being random swipes with a polish brush lol.

I added Elevation Ave Secretan, a great dark pink, FNUG Flip Flop, an electric coral, and CG Lemon Fizz.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I hate yellows and lemons, but wow, add them into a base and they don't half create some magic.

Anyway, I have no idea what my actual design is, it was just the one I thought would work best over the base lol.

Ok, I am off to start my second course of anti-biotics.  Bare with me over the next few days - posting might be a bit lumpy!

Digit-al Dozen DOES Fashion - Coral Cow Print

Hi Goddesses

We're back with another week of nail art, and I have to say, I am happy with EVERYTHING I have prepared for this week.  I haven't particularly gone high end, I've just picked patterns that I liked in magazines, on websites, and in one case, in my wardrobe :)

Today's pattern ... well, I've called it a cow print, but is it?  I don't know, but I do know I love it.  I'm pretty sure cows don't have white blobs within their black blobs lol, but that's what it reminds me of.

It's based on this photo of a dress on the Asos website, and I used FNUG Flip Flop as my base, and may I tell you, THAT is a particularly stunning colour.

I then did my pattern with acrylics, as I do seem to be able to control them better than polish, and started with the black, and then filled the patterns in white.

When I did this the other week, I was super chuffed with it.  This is the one where Beth famously walked in and just said, "meh".   Man she's getting hard to please these days - she's pretty much leopard print or bust lol.

Don't forget to check out all the other awesome - I have a feeling this week is going to be a belter :) xx
