Hi Goddesses
Although I love the brightening that Spring brings, my soul leaps in autumn. It's the colours. I love seeing nature put on this show for us, where everyday the colours are slightly different, and some days they are just downright epic.
I decided to do a mani showing the autumn colour shift, and based it on my Heather's tree mani which I did for last month's Digit-al Dozen.
I used about 20 polishes to do this mani, so I am not going to list them all here, but again, the base was OPI Be There In A Prosecco and I used acrylic brown for the trees.
I love the colour shifts here and the progression across the nails, and yes, I AM proud to have used so many polishes at once lol!

One of the things I love most about the Digit-al Dozen, is how each month it encourages me to be more adventurous and less lazy than I normally am. Today is a relatively epic mani, and normally, I wouldn't spend so much time on a mani. I'm glad I did though, as I loved this one sooooo much.
This mani used far too many polishes to list, and a lot of them are polishes I only keep to use at this time of year! The base is OPI Be There In A Prosecco.
I was lucky enough to be sent the UberChic Halloween 01 plate a couple of weeks ago, and I used my UberMat to make these amazing decals.
This time, the decals were MUCH easier, as I cut them down to size before applying them to each nail. I also cut my UberMat in half to help it fit on my desk better but sssssh, don't tell anyone!
I was sent this plate by UberChic for my honest review, and as ever, the etching was perfect for effortless stamping. UberChic will now be stocked in the UK by She Sells Seashells, which is great news.
Now, when you look at what the other ladies did, pay special attention to Laurie from Dressed Up Digits. Laurie couldn't believe we'd done pretty much the same mani as usually we have very different tastes lol. Hers rocks, so be sure to check it out.

And welcome to one of my favourite DD weeks EVERRRRR!!! I've had such a blast doing this week's manis and do you know what - there's not a dud amongst them. To my eyes, anyway. It's rare I love all 5 DD manis but this week I do I do I do.
I'm very much obsessed at the moment with what makes something what it is - is it the colour, or the pattern? - and this week I got to play around with that notion.
Today's mani is an autumnal pattern, in very non-traditional colours, based on my gorgeous new Cath Kidston key ring. I was lucky enough to visit a real life CK store a few weeks ago, and yes, I *was* that weird woman taking photos of all the patterns lol.
I really love this design, primarily I think because of it's unusual muted pastel colour scheme. I love that it is and isn't autumnal, all at the same time.
I also think I did a pretty decent job of translating it, and it's not often I say that. The base is OPI Be There In A Prosecco, which is a tad yellow for my skin, but looks oh so perfect for this type of nail art.

And so to my final mani of DD week. To all the girls I didn't recreate, I still love you, but I only had 5 manis, and there have been so many of you.
Today I honour a lovely lady who has been part of DD since the beginning, Katee from A Girl and Her Polish. I've seen Katee's style evolve over the years, and these days she's pretty much a double stamping queen.
When she did this mani, I squealed because it was so perfect. It also comes from Childhood Week (the theme which bookends my week) and it honours books - a passion we both share. Here's Katee's mani -
Obviously, I wanted to personalise the mani a little, so I took Katee's style, and mixed it up a little to be truer to me. Here's how it looked before the top layer.
The base images are a history of my love affair with books -

- middle - shelves of books! the story of my life :) using Vivid Lacquer VL029
- ring - fingerprint - I love thrillers, it's my favourite genre - Vivid Lacquer VL009
- thumb - money - I love robberies, heists, the intellectual puzzling of the perfect financial crime - Cici & Sisi 12
I then used the Live Love Laugh motif from BM-405 on top of my bases. That's what books help us do - live other people's lives, fall in love, laugh - it's life, all on paper.
I had an absolute blast creating this mani, and actually, it turned out to be my favourite of the week. I hope you've enjoyed this week as much as we have.
