Digit-al Dozen DOES Patterns on Patterns - Hearts on Swipey Stripes

Hi Goddesses

And so the week comes to an end, and unlike last month, I am really sad.  I've really enjoyed this theme, and I think this inspiration will stay with me for a while.

We end the week with a heart design for Valentine's Day over a design I did for Day 9 of the 31DC.

Polishes Used -

Barry M Almond
OPI In A Holidaze
OPI Love. Angel. Music. Baby
BM-620

I love the stamping here.  LAMB stamps so beautifully and sparkly and the contrast with the rich ruby of the base is perfect.

I hope you've enjoyed this week - don't forget to check out my fellow lovely ladies :)

Inter-Galactic Valentines with Loki's Nail Vinyls

Hi Goddesses

Today I have some more nail vinyls to show you, which I was sent for review by Loki's Nail Vinyls.  They are all Valentine related, and I used half of them in this mani.  (I am hoping to get another mani done later in the week showing you the other vinyls, because they are mix and match 2-parters, which sounds quite clever!)

I have called this one Inter-Galactic Valentines as the base looks somewhat of a galazy type mani to me, and I deliberately added extra colours and the vinyls in such a way as to accentuate this.

Let's deconstruct - the base is the gorgeous In Blossom from Literary Lacquers, and you can see this in it's full solo beauty next week.  On top, I splodged in a variety of pinks - You Better Pink by OPI, and Salmon and Powder Pink by w7.

Firstly, I added heart stickers to the ring finger.  I then used  the stencils these created to add the hearts on the index and pinkie fingers (using In Blossom) and then added a matte top coat.

For the middle finger and thumb, I used the XO stickers.  So that they didn't just look "plonked"  I added some edging with In Blossom, and I'm really glad I did, as it gives the mani a more edgy feel.

I deliberately mixed whether the nails were glossy or matte, for effect.

I love Loki's Nail Vinyls, they're such good quality.  And even though they come from Oz, they arrive quickly and just squeaking to be let out of the envelope for playtime.  Ok, maybe I embellised a leeeeeetle :)   These vinyls were sent to me for an honest review and can be purchased HERE.

The Digit-al Dozen 2nd Anniversary - Free Choice

Hi Goddesses

Welcome to day 5 of Digit-al Dozen Week, as chosen by you, and today we were allowed free choice, as long as it fitted with the themes of the week.

I’m not gonna lie, I've found this week … not so much difficult, but I only really love my Day 1 mani.  I always hate it when I feel pushed into doing a mani I normally wouldn’t do, just for the sake of a challenge, and I’ve felt like that a couple of times this week.  Still, it could also be because I’ve been poorly, and everrrrrrything has left me feeling meh.

We end today with my favourite “just blue” polish (no glitter, no other colours).  I don’t own a lot of Zoyas, but I love my Song.  Interesting fact – I’ve also lost this polish twice.  Other polishes?  Nope, never lose them; this one?   Rogue!

I love how this polish feels ALIVE.  It’s the most stunning blue, but all that shimmer and sparkle makes it a living, breathing, beautiful thing.  It’s almost like moving water, and it takes my breath away every time I wear it.

My immediate plan was to do some water-spotting as I’ve never done that before.  Whaddya know, the bottle of hairspray I bought has disappeared, (I’m a curly girl so had to buy it especially), so I was back to the drawing board.

Eventually I settled on stamping, and was actually quite pleased with how these patterns from Pueen 68 matched the theme.  You see, they’re from the heart, and full of love.  And what has this week been about if not love?  Thanks for sticking with us for 2 years, and here’s how we show our love, with this EPIC GIVEAWAY (pls make sure you’ve entered).

I chose the divine Angel Kiss from the Color Club Halo Hues for my stamping – man they sizzle like pure electricity.  I love the depth and the fire these holos emit – pure wow-bombs.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this week.  Thank you to every one who suggested a theme.  Please enter the Giveaway – and we’ll see you next month with a theme I am extremely giddy about!
