Hi Goddesses
We end Vault Week with another mani that wasn't quite what I wanted it to be.
This features Too Fancy Lacquer Silent Night on base, a lovely murky, slightly undefinable holo.
I had seen a lot of people do cool manis with these birds on a wire so I pulled out my MoYou Pro 07 plate, and addedmy birdies in black.
Why didn't I totally like this? I think it was more about placement. I think the stamp was a little bigger than I expected so I couldn't quite frame the nail the way I had planned. Oh well xx
Hi Goddesses
Today I have the last 2 polishes from Too Fancy Lacquer's holiday collection for you. These polishes were sent to me for my honest review.
Silent Night is a dark grey holo - but not a cold one. Colourwise, this is quite a "dirty" polish :) it reminds me of smog and grime and Victorian smoke.
What I love most about it though is that it's not sat on a cold base. There's a lot of golden warmth in this polish which increases its majesty.
I love the combination of a colder dark colour, and then the golden holo on top - winner. Also, there still aren't that many holos around in this type of colour.
Midnight Sonata is the blurple one, and I firmly expected this to be favourite of the 6 polishes. It's testament to how gorgeous the other 5 are that this is actually my LEAST favourite. However, I think the fact that I also own a bazillion other holos in this colour may have something to do with it :)
This is a lovely denim type of colour - muted blue steel, infused with purple. Personally, I would have liked this to be a little more purple and also a little more intense, but this is still a lovely colour.
Don't forget to check out Too Fancy Lacquer on Facebook HERE and you can buy all these lovelies HERE.

Hi Goddesses
Today's mani comes to you with peace and serenity, and the calm of angels.
For a long time, I've believed in guardian angels. They told me my daughter was ok when all the doctors told me I needed a termination; they told me her dad was "the one"; they've reassured me about jobs, bad days and countless other things, and sometimes, when I need peace, I imagine a huge pair of wings enveloping me and hushing away the darkness, and it works.
Today is also the 13th anniversary of my mother's death. I miss her terribly, and she too gave great hugs. Without my mother, I wouldn't have wanted a child, and Beth too, gives great hugs. It's the circle of life :)
So what am I rambling on about? I don't know really, but there is something godly about the power of a hug, and its ability to hush away our white noise. It's holy, almost.
And that brings me back to the angels. They're not just for Christmas. I choose to believe they are all around. I choose to believe my mother is all around. I choose to believe in love and hope and peace - because, if I don't, there is only the darkness, and what sort of a world is that?
Today's mani featured Sally Hansen Complete Manicure Greige Gardens, Too Fancy Lacquer Silent Night, and a feather from MoYou Pro Collection 03.
Whatever you're going through right now - hugs xx
