30 Days of Purple Meets The Sat-ART-Day Club - Brands or Logos

Hi Goddesses

Well isn't that just the catchiest blog title EVER lol ?  I hope every one is safe and well this Saturday morning.

I decided to combine my Sat-ART-Day Club post with my 30 Days of Purple post today, for no other reason than to save time.  My daughter is still poorly, so mummy hugs are high on the agenda today.

I forget who chose this week's theme, but at the time I thought it was genius.  Needless to say, the closer it got to actually doing it, the harder it got!   I really struggled for inspiration, possibly because there's no one brand out there that I have a particular loyalty too, so in the end, what's a nail blogger to do but do some nail art based on polish brands :)

So, 5 different bottle shapes, all based on a different brand.  I'm really tempted not to tell you which bottles they are, just to see if anyone can guess.  They've come out "reasonably" well, although some are better than others !

I used KIKO 338 and 333, for no other reason than that they were on the desk!

So, guess away, and I'll leave the answer in the comments soon :)  and by the way, Beth guessed them ALL aaaah, a true polish blogger's daughter :)

Enjoy xx :)

Sonoma Nail Art - Deadly Zins

Hi Goddesses

Wow, we have a lot to get through today, so much so that I think I'm going to carry some of it over to tomorrow.  Here's what's left in the official October pot -
* 2 x Sonoma Nail Art
* 2 x Crows Toes Halloweenies
* final depression awareness post
* Work Wear Wednesday
* Go Pink for BCA

Lol, that's a lot.  So, I don't really think you want 7 posts from me today lol, so I'm going to spread them.  Today you get to see The Red One from Sonoma Nail Art's Halloween Collection - I'm going to save The Purple One for tomorrow, which sees the launch of 30 Days of Purple.

So, Deadly Zins.  Ah and wow.  What a gorgeous polish.  This is predominantly a red glitter, with purple and blackened specks, nestling in a red tinted base.

I wanted to layer this over purple for maximum impact - and wow, doesn't it make the red POP?  This is KIKO 333, a crazily intense dark purple, and it just captures the drama of Deadly Zins perfectly.

The accent nail is CG Velvet Bow, a STUNNING ruby that is just pure perfection.  I like that this base was dark enough to make the red pop, but red enough to also coax the purple glitters into the light.

So yes, total wow.  Stunning polish.  Beautiful in every way, and even better, this one will last all year round.   As I said last week, it's proving impossible to choose my favourite Halloweenie, but the Sonomas would be right near the top of the list - breathtaking.

Enjoy xx :)

Dollish Polish - Deadly Nightshade

Hi Goddesses

So here, as promised, is your 2nd Halloweenie Purple of the day, and I have to say, (and it saddens me to say it), I like this LOTS more than ye goode olde Crows Toes.

Deadly Nightshade is Dollish's purple halloweenie, and like Purple People Eater (by Crows Toes - here) it features green and purple glitter.

There are several key differences between the 2 polishes, and which one you will prefer will depend on your own personal tastes.

Base - PPE comes in a clear base.  DN comes in a smoky coloured base.

Glitter colour - both feature purple and green.  DN also has some black specks.

Glitter Size - this is the key differential.  PPE is micro glitter, whereas DN is denser and more random, giveing better coverage.

I layered DN over KIKO 333, a delicious dark purple, and I wish I'd layered PPE too, as I think it would have looked much more glorious with some dark undies.

Overall, DN like any Dollish, was a pleasure to apply and glided on.  PPE required much more dabbing.

So - which was been your favourite purple so far?  Don't forget, there was also Witchy Woman from Pretty and Polished and tomorrow .... oh tomorrow, we have a Sonoma double bill .... including The Purple One.

Enjoy xx :)
