Today I have the final one of the 4 polishes I was sent for review by Renaissance Cosmetics, and it may be the most gorgeous of the 4.  Maybe.  Yes.  Possibly.  Oh I don’t know, I loved them all!  

Meet Flirt, a delicious, sexy, complicated mistress of a polish, all decadence and huskiness, weighted with the history of the world, and full of naughtiness.

Flirt is a stunning medium to dark purple holo, bendier than an escort girl and sizzling with blue electricity.  She’s also adorned with flakies, and whilst I don’t usually like anything to disrupt my holo, this all plays together deliciously.  She’s many women rolled into one.

I adored the drama of this on my nails.  A polish of epicness to be sure.

Just as with the other 3 polishes, this was a one-coater (although I did 2), and was just as mind-blowing matte.  I wasn’t sure whether stamping would ruin it, but I love how it creates an oriental and exotic flavour that I wasn’t expecting.

I used an image from Cheeky Jumbo plate 5 and I think I prefer the matted version.  I can’t believe how much light this polish emits when matte.

I totally love this mani, and I’m also full of love for Renaissance Cosmetics.  Although they were sent for review, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy them, especially as most of them are one coaters.  If you want to pick any up, you can grab them HERE.

Let’s start today with 2 apologies, shall we?  Firstly, sorry for not posting yesterday.  I spent most of Sunday gardening and was KNACKERED.  I ended up going to bed at 7pm last night to make up for it lol!  I do feel so much better today though!

The second apology is this post – well, it’s unapologetic actually. It’s lengthy, laden with photos and oozing with love.  I don’t often go this overboard with a polish, but I am truly smitten with this exceptional beauty.

“This polish” is The Danforth by Renaissance Cosmetics, an indie brand run by one of my Digit-al Dozen partners-in-crime, Meghan from Will Paint Nails For Food.   She kindly offered to send me 4 polishes for review, and you will have seen my Victorian Roses this weekend, which featured all 4 polishes.  As we go through this week, you’ll get to see each one in all their solo glory.

The Danforth is just my kind of polish – purple, dark and deviant.  So far you’ve been seeing it solo – just one coat of polish on its own!  For me though, this polish really comes to life when you matte it or gloss it up.

In the above photos, I’ve kept it natural on the index and pinkie, Poshe’d it on the middle finger and matted it on the ring.  I was astounded how beautiful it looked matte, and also how I could suddenly see teal flakies!

Ah, the flakies!  That’s what truly makes this polish wonderful.  And look at it just with a top coat – suddenly it becomes darker, a polish of the twilight and the witching hour, so much darker and so much more dramatic.

  

I decided to stamp over this polish with a lilac metallic polish – Essie Nothing Else Metals – and a pattern from Cheeky Jumbo Plate 5.   Again, I matted it, and I love this final version – it’s so classy yet dark.  Very mistress-y!

All of the Renaissance Cosmetics polishes I tried were opaque in one coat, and looked beautiful matte or glossy.  You REALLY need to go and investigate, especially the new collection which came out last week.  You can visit Meghan’s shop HERE.

Zoya Kelly Gets The Cheeky Holo Treatment

Today I have another great non-musical pattern for you from the Musical plate from the Cheeky Jumbo series (plate 5).

Zoya Kelly makes the perfect backdrop in many ways - gorgeous though she is, she's almost the deadpan partner in this mani, and looks great and aloof against all the shizz going on around her.

The shizz is mainly Color Club Blue Heaven, and this amazing linked square pattern - I'd love a necklace like this!

They play beautifully off each other, with the blue holo just subtle enough, and looking like pure spectraflair against the stormy backdrop of Kelly.

I'm a huge fan of this Cheeky plate.  Whilst it has some definite musical images on it, I love the ones like this that are more generic - they're all winners.
