Hi Goddesses
And welcome to another week! This week is a bit of a mash-up on the blog, before we launch into Autumn next week with the Digit-al Dozen.
As part of my birthday haul in August, I ordered a couple of Darling Diva polishes. Carrie, being the lovely lady she is slipped her latest collection into my package too. How sweet is that?
Because she knows me, she didn't even bother sending the yellow lol, and today I have the 5 "blackish" polishes, which I wore as a skittle.
I am not a massive fan of blackish polishes for 2 reasons - usually, the darker the polish, the worse my application skills become, and secondly, although they appeal to my inner witch, they rarely look good on me.
These 5 however did NOT fall into that category, purely because of the amount of life Carrie squeezed into them. Although they all start in some blackened state, they all exude some celestial life, and more than anything, they each look like mini galaxies on the nail.

Once upon a time, there was a little Crumpet who did not like teal polishes. Oh no no no no.
But then, someone cast a spell upon her, and gradually she found herself drawn to the witchy beauty of the colour which was not green, yet was not blue.
Then there was a time when she put this colour upon her nails, and sang with pleasure for the witchy aspect it gave her, and how it spoke to her witchy soul.
And from thenceforth she was smitten, and verily did she seek the teal magic for her nails. Eventually, she happened upon The Witching Hour, a polish of such beauty that she gasped, and did race to wear it upon her nails.
Once worn, she marvelled at its cool and vicious depths, the witchy way the polish was blue ... and yet also green .... and how the holographic beauty chilled her toxic heart, and reminded her of the pine trees from which she was born.
Smitten, she was, and so shalt you be :)

Today I have a screamer of a polish for you - welcome Cast A Spell by Darling Diva.
This is an incredible orange holo - it's bright, but not brashly or overly so (and there's a subtle distinction there) and it's just so blooming perfect on the nail!
The slight metallic qualities in this polish, really push this orange in a perfect direction. I love that they augment the colour, without turning it up to 11 - I hate when you need sunglasses with your orange polish.
This manages to be cool AND warm at the same time (don't as me how) and is a really lovely orange holo.

Hi Goddesses
One of things I love most about this Witchee Collection from Darling Diva is how perfectly autumnal it is. It's as if Carrie found a magic formula that distilled the colours of our season into perfect, liquid form.
The Arcanist is a perfect example. It's red, but in a way only autumn can capture. There are brown edges to this red, making it warm, and ever so slightly faded.
This is a really beautiful polish. I like that it's not your normal red holo, and I love that it IS autumn in a bottle.
Best of all is the bend in this polish, which takes it from red to burgundy to brown. It hints at pink and life, whilst always maintaining its dying-leaf heart.
