Zoya Nidhi Fruit Slices

Hi Goddesses

It's Stamping Week on the blog this week.  I've amassed all sorts of fails, semi-fails, semi-successes and "oooooh not bad"s over the last couple of months, and I'm going to share them with you this week.

Nidhi is a gorgeous almost-red.  She's a mish-mash of red, a leeeeeeeetle bit of orange, and a teeeeeeeensy bit of pink, all lashed together with some summery shimmer.

I used my beloved DRK-A stamp and Konad white to create this pattern.  I think they're flowers, but they also look a little like fruit slices to me :)

I left the ring finger clean as an accent just so that you can see how pretty and perfect Nidhi is.  This would have been a total success for me apart from the slight blurring of some of the images - I think I pressed too hard :(

Finally, I added a bit more sun, courtesy of Northern Lights holographic top coat and ta-dah !!!  Tres summery !

Enjoy xx :)

Blue Roses for National Autism Awareness

Hi Goddesses

If I'm honest, I didn't know today was National Autism Day until I saw all the blue manis, so I dug through my vault to find something I could post.

Autism hasn't affected me or anyone I know, but as a mother, I have totally embraced that fear, and I have nothing but respect for all the mothers out there who give these children the love and attention they need.

So, I'm keeping it brief - this was a metallic navy by Fearne (available at Boots in the UK), topped with SH Chrome in Aqua and using DRK-A - isn't the detail breathtaking ?

Enjoy xx :)

Crumpet & DRK-A sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g :)

Hi Goddesses

A super quick post, cos the result is not without its flaws, but LOOKEY WHAT I GOT !!!

My pictures of the plate were too reflective - this photo is from http://jeninjafer.blogspot.com/2012/02/drk-stamping-plate.html.

Yes, a DRK-A plate from Rhonni of Ninja Polish.  I am soooooo excited!  Why ?  Well the DRK-A is perfect for people like me who have man sized paws, and who wrinkle their noses in disgust at the petitery of some of the other plates out there.

This is a dark blue Boots polish, stamped with good ole Barry M, and hey, guess what?   Stamping with a bigger plate is not without its challenges too!!  Lol - irony!  You have to learn to position the plonker differently to capture all of the pattern.

As you can see, I have "holes" in my pattern, some of which I stupidly decided to try and fill.

Still, loving this plate.  We are having fun times this week, me and this plate.  Do not disturb us, ok ?

Enjoy xx :)
