ESSENCE
TWINS – Chuck & Blair
Hi
Goddesses
I hope the
weekend is treating you well. I am a little
pooped already – that stomach bug really took it out of me L
So here is
my 2nd set of Essence twins and I have NO IDEA who Chuck & Blair
are lol. Anyway, Chuck is a lovely deep
royal blue which is 98% opaque in 1 coat, and Blair is all sorts of glitterama!
This is not
my usual combo, but given my recent softening to all things blue, I had high
hopes. Turns out, I’m not totally blue
yet and I didn’t love this on ME, but this is still a great combo.
The
highlight and the disappointment of this polish for me is the Blair half, the
glitter bomb. Blair is mainly round
silver flakes which can turn pewter in certain lights, and then lots of micro dots
of holographic glitter, which make it twinkle like fairy lights when the sun
catches it. This sounds lovely, but it
left me a bit underwhelmed, mainly I think, because of Edward.
In Bella
& Edward, Edward takes on the green hue of the base polish, and this would
have been a lot more magical for me if the glitter had had more blue to it.
Hang
on. Rewind. Did I really just say that?? Lol, yes, I wanted more blue in the glitter.
So, for any
normal polishaholic, this is gorgreous.
From a distance, your hand almost looks like a starry sky. For me however, it doesn’t light any fires,
which means this is now winging its way to the lovely Bee in sunny FLA (love
that song!)
Enjoy xx J

ever unsure what a nail colour looks like, go to Google images, which will give
you plenty of contrasts and compares.
