Day 5 –
Garlands / Wreaths
Hi
Goddesses
I want to
start today by thanking all the goddesses currently doing the challenge. What you sometimes don’t expect when you put
something like this together is the camaraderie, support and genuine laughter
you will get from each other, and THAT is what’s making this such an awesome
experience. So, this is us –

We’re up to
Day 5 of the challenge and today is garland / wreath. I think they are called Christmas wreaths,
but I’m always loathe to call them that because it reminds me of funerals. Anyway, for this I did some research and
found this image to inspire me –
All my
nails are a variation of this image.
Thumb –
full wreath on a wooden door with a gold doorknob
Index
finger – the tartan pattern of the bow
Middle and
pinkie – the green of the fern and holly and other green planty things
Ring –
berrylapalooza
Colours
used –
Thumb –
Barry M Mushroom for the door, and then a dotting tool to do the wreath in CG
Starboard / Glittering Garland and It’s Alive, and Color Club Cadillac Red
Index – CC
Cadillac Red and then a black, silver and gold striper
Middle and
pinkie – green sponging using the 3 greens mentioned above (with an eyeshadow applicator)
Ring –
dotting tool. A base of CC Cadillac Red
(which I know think was a mistake), and then dots with that same colour, Color
Club Red-ical Gypsy and CG Hot Lava Love.
I did all the dotting at the same time – I think I’d have got a much
better effect if I’d done 1 colour, waited for it to dry and THEN tried the
next colour
Nevertheless,
I am quite pleased – I feel I can tick this box and move confidently on to …..
oh bollocks. Tomorrow is Elves. Can I do garlands again ??
Pray for me

Enjoy xx J

Top Tip – if you’re
ever unsure what a nail colour looks like, go to Google images, which will give
you plenty of contrasts and compares.
