Day 20 – The
Nativity

Wow we’re
2/3s through, and here we are, now, at the meaning of Christmas.
When I told
Beth this was one of the challenges, she laughed. Not a little giggle either, but an evil,
hysterical mwahahahahahaha. I would take
umbrage at her, but she does have a fair point, and I was pretty stressed about
this mani, although I think it sort of got there in the end.
All I have
to say is, thank god for the angel! The
angel got recycled from Day 13, and gave me the confidence to realise I could
use that shape to recreate various other characters.
So Crumpet
– what “art” are you torturing us with now?

Mary, wearing robes of CG First Mate, with white embellishment.
Middle –
swaddled baby Jesus! Hurrah, I pulled it
off! Swaddling uses Zoya Dove for the
stripes. Both Mary and Jesus are on a
background of Fearne Brown (representing the stable)
Ring finger
– I didn’t want to do the shepherd because I thought too many nails might look
samey so I opted for the sheep! I
remembered Sarah Chalkboard Nails had done a decent sheep and I also Googled
some images. He’s ok, but he does look
more like an albino pig. Also, the CG
Laser Lime background has given him jaundice.
Oh well, can’t win em all!
Pinkie –
the king. On a background of OPI Ogre
The Top Blue with a CC Foiled crown (man those Foileds are useful!), and with
Fearne Brown hair. The boyf thought this
was a deer with antlers ……. Oh dear …..
Phew, thank
the LORD that’s over.
