Hi Goddesses
Today it's the turn of Helen, from The Nail Newbie, and Helly is probably one of my oldest British blogging friends - a staunch member of both the Crumpet's Nail Tarts and Adventures In Stamping. Her nail art has improved so much since I first met her - very proud of you Helly xx

Hello Crumpet's Goddesses! I'm Helly from The Nail Newbie and it's such a pleasure to be here! Thank you Debbie for inviting me to the party!
And what's a party without some decorations? I decided to deck my nails with some festive baubles, using this year's big thing - texture polishes! I started with a base of Essence Must Have, a deep shimmery graphite grey, and then mattified it with NYC matte topcoat. The baubles were created with (pinkie to pointer) OPI Get Your Number, Models Own Sardonyx, Bora Bora and Amethyst. I discovered I don't have a green texture polish (shock horror!) so I used A-England Saint George for the wreath, and all the little bows and ribbons were freehanded with Barry M Gold Foil and a little brush.
Perhaps I should have chosen a lighter base colour, but I love how the matte texture polishes have just a little sparkle coming through, and it was really simple to achieve! Pop over to my blog, The Nail Newbie, and see the rest of my Christmassy offering!
Thank you for having me, Ms Crumpet! Happy Christmas!
