Nails I Love - Sally Hansen PUMPKIN SPICE

Nails I Love

HALLOWE’EN – Part 2 of 4
SALLY HANSEN – Pumpkin Spice

Hi Goddesses.

So this is part 2 of 4, and this time the focus is on Sally Hansen’s PUMPKIN SPICE.  You can read my review of China Glaze ICK-A-BOD-Y here.  Coming up we have CG Fortune Teller and then a big ole pic heavy swatch comparisonarama!

Sally Hansen has my favourite bottle of all – this isn’t relevant, but it’s my blog lol.  I love that it’s narrow and tall, and I love the wand.  They also apply really easily and are a real VFM price.

So, Pumpkin Spice… has an automatic head start because my cat is called Pumpkin.  In all the photos, PS is layered over 2 coats of SH Black Out, and the contrast nail (thumb) is in CG Ick-A-Bod-y.

The immediately noticeable difference is how much sparser and smaller the glitter is in PS.  Which one you prefer is really going to be driven by this factor.   Personally, I loved the sparseness – it made me feel I was wearing a night sky sprinkled with sunset.

The base is a murky brown rather than black, and does not have the green overtone of Icky.  The orange glitter is pretty much identical in colour – and looks fabulous electric against black nails.  I am also itching to try this over a red to see what happens J

Again, I added KleanColor Chunky Holo in POPPY over the middle nail – I really love how this makes half the sparkles flash green – it’s just so twisted monster!

So, for me, PS is a winner, I like it’s subtle, and I am pretty sure with more layers you can build it up to match Icky.

Stay tuned, just Fortune Teller to go, then we can vote for our favourite!

Enjoy J

Top Tip – if you’re ever unsure what a nail colour looks like, go to Google images, which will give you plenty of contrasts and compares.
