Hi Goddesses
For the last few weeks, another UK indie brand has been taking seed, ready to blossom. The hype with this one is that no one seems to know who Quirk is, and no, it's not me! Even when I got my review package, there were no return details on it, so I'm still in the dark lol. Call me melodramatic, but I find that quite exciting lol.
I was sent 4 glitters toppers for review, all of which will be sold through Sally Magpies HERE. The main thing to say about all of them, is that I was really impressed with the quality - no bleeding, no curling, and (most obvious to my eyes), excellent suspension.
I used the dabbing method, and honestly had no issues. Apparently, when the polishes launch, the bottles will be slightly smaller than mine but with just as much glitter in, which should make application a breeze. Finally, I swear I didn't fart in my Poshe, but I may as well have for all those bubbles - sorry!
Peace Is Free is a neon purple and blue that is really striking to the eye. I have it paired here over a purple and lilac holo skittle.
As you can imagine, this one calls to me - haha.
Boom Boom is pure happy on a nail. Neon blue, pink, lime and orange - the perfect mixed glitter.
I liked the pop of this one, and have it layered here over the same purple and lilac polishes as Peace Is Free.
Next is Hell & High Water, which - shocker! - I really liked! I have this layered over Bondi Tavern On The, a rich, dark teal green.
This one really made me smile - is it just me or are these glitters minion coloured? Although these aren't my natural colours, I really liked the combo of this mani.
And finally, The Bitter End, which is very similar to Hell and High Water, but has added orange glitters. These look wafer thin in the bottle, and I assumed (wrongly) that they would really pop over a dark orange base.
This is layered over Sation Fuzzy Navel, with an accent of Tavern On The. Neither showcase the glitter perfectly, but I do like the accidental Halloweenishness of this combo.
So, if, like me, you want to find out who Quirk is, you can follow them on Facebook here. As I mentioned above, these polishes were sent to me for an honest review and will be landing at Sally Magpies verrrrry soon xx
