Digit-al Dozen Does : BLUE - Zoya Song

Hi Goddesses

Today is a very special day for me.  It's the launch of Blue Week, which is the first of a new style of challenge I am doing.  I decided a while ago that I was sick of the never-ending long challenges, so I'm moving to shorter Challenges.  To help me, I've recruited 12 blogger friends, many of whom are very dear friends, and we'll be posting once a month, for a whole week, as The Digit-al Dozen.

So who ARE these amazing ladies ?

Our first Theme Week is BLUE.  That's it, just BLUE.  It can be anything you like, any technique you like, as long as it's blue.  And for today, I've chosen one of the most special blues of the year - Song by Zoya.

Song is from Zoya's Diva Collection and is SPECTACULAR.   This blue is electric and intense like nothing else I own - for me, it's miles better than Baker Street.

Song is pitched somewhere between royal blue and a navy, but it's the shimmer that makes it sensational.  Electrical sparks catch the light and dazzle, providing a gemfest for the nails.

The depth of this polish is mesmeric.   It's galactic, dizzying and oh, I just want to plunge into it.  Truly beautiful.

For playtime, I thought I'd see what Feenix Rising looked like. In the bottle, it reminds me a lot of China Glaze Snow Globe.   In fact, this looks more like a conventional glitter than SG, but I'm interested to see what it will look like over different colours - hopefully it will be quite kaleidoscopic and provide different effects over different bases.

Finally, I stamped over it with this lovely pattern from DRK-A.  I don't really know whether this pattern is supposed to be wood, an animal or reeds, but I like it lol.  I used a pale blue Konad stamping polish.

I'm going to apologise right now for the state of my nails in these pics - it's embarrassing.  I have dry cuticles anyway, and they seem bashed almost to death at the moment.  They are ridiculously dry, and even Avoplex isn't helping.  And how I missed all that clean-up ????  aaaarrrggghh!!!

Ok, I'm off to the intensive nail care ward - enjoy xx :)
