Post 199 - Glitter Gal Fuchsia Holo

Nails I Love

GLITTER GAL – Fuchsia

Hi Goddesses

I hope the weekend is treating you well.  I have a goodie for you today.

Now firstly, I need to pick an argument.  Much as I love Glitter Gal and their amazing colours, I hate their dinky weeny Lilliputian sized bottle, and they SUCK at names.  Dark Purple absolutely wasn’t, and looked like a great fuchsia holo on my nails, and now we have Fuchsia itself which looks ….. nude pink.  Seriously guys, this isn’t bonzer.

Now, none of this detracts from the sheer beauty of the polish, but I do like my polishes to be what they say on the tin (Barry M being the perfect example.)  When you wear a polish that isn’t what you expected, it does take the shine off it somewhat, however special the brand is (and GG ARE one of my favourite brands).

But anyway … Fuchsia.  This is lovely, it’s pure rainbow in a bottle.  One coat looks like a sheer pink top coat, 2 coats looks like a pinky nude topcoat.  3 coats looks like a … rosy topcoat.  There is NO fuchsia here whatsoever, so do not expect fireworks to light up the magenta sky.

That aside, this is a beauty.  If you can get past it not being what you wanted it to be, there is a lot to enjoy.  It’s subtle, but not boring; it’s neutral, but not bland; it’s sensational without being melodramatic.  This has all sorts of golden yellow orangey goodness when you bend it to the light.

So, if you’re looking for a beautiful soft pink that’s also a perfect holo, this one’s for you.  If you’re after the perfect fuchsia holo tho, join me as I keep looking.

Enjoy xx  J

PS I’ve re-read this and it sounds a bit grumpy, so I just want to stress how much I love Glitter Gal and how this IS a beautiful pink holo.  It’s a beautiful rosy rainbow (that’s not fuchsia …) xx  J

Top Tip – if you’re ever unsure what a nail colour looks like, go to Google images, which will give you plenty of contrasts and compares.
