Hi Goddesses
This week, the Digital Dozen does Music. Except we're not the Dozen. Missy from Gnarly Gnails is super poorly, and Victoria from Manicurator lives in NY, close to some of the worst Hurricane Sandy damage - ladies, I am thinking of both of you, and sending you massive hugs.
I've got to be honest, I struggled with this theme. I desperately wanted to be creative and to NOT resort to various stamping plates I've got. So far, I've managed it, and I'm fairly happy with what I've done, but I still don't have a 5th post for Friday - eeeek!
I first saw graphic equalizer nails a couple of months ago on Emma's blog. Then a week or so later, The Daily Nail also did them. Emma used a striping brush, and Melissa did a taping extravaganza, both of which looked too much like hard work to me! However, a quick chat with Google images suggested it could work with dots too :)
So, here we have possibly the most elaborate dotticure I've ever done, and I really really like it.
The dots were done with a medium sized dotting tool, and whatever polishes were already on my desk! The thumb has definitely got KIKO polishes on it - and don't they look mighty fine ?
This is also the first time I think I've stretched a pattern across all the nails like this, and I really like how the pattern hops from one nail to another.
Don't forget to check up on the rest of the Digit-al not-quite-Dozen :)
Enjoy xx :)
