China Glaze - It's Aliiiiiiiiiiive!

Nails I Love

CHINA GLAZE – It’s Alive

Hi Goddesses

Firstly, an announcement – for those of you who have entered the giveaway so far and wanted to see more glitter and more layering …. here it comes J  Talking of the giveaway, it’s slowed a lot today.  The blog roll needs to show at least 100 Followers for the prizes to be available, so please make sure all your friends join and enter J

Today we have China Glaze IT’S ALIVE from this year’s Hallowe’en Collection.  Seriously, polish is corrupting my DNA.  For a girl who hates blue and green nails, I now have over 30 of the buggers? How did that happen?  And how do I even like them?

Let’s push these disturbances aside however, and dwell on the gothic majesty of It’s Alive.  In all the photos, I have used 2 coats, with the exception of the middle finger which is just 1 coat, but over a coat of black to give it more depth.

I LOVE this polish.  This is swamp green, cauldron stew green, olive with bits of bogies in it !  Love it !!  it’s almost a neon olive, if you can imagine that, with a jellyish base then stacks of glitter, big and small, some bits slightly more neon than the others.  I also love how it looks like green fruit pastels J

And now to the layering, all the fault of Glitta Gloves, who did a guest post for someone (sorry I forget who) and added a glitter called PITCH BLACK GLIMMER by NOPI.  It gave the mani the mani real depth and a certain mystery, so it joined my lemming list.

Now successfully acquired, it jumped onto my index and ring fingers so that I could compare it to the single coat of It’s Alive over black.  Pitch-Black Glimmer is like coal dust.  A black jelly base, this has teeny tiny sparkles of black and holo silver – can you see the tiny blue flashes on the nails ?  That’s the Pitch-Black Glimmer.

In the bottle PBG is fascinating .. but I think she deserves a post of her own to show you how amazing she is.

Whatever you’re doing this weekend, have a great one xxx J

Top Tip – if you’re ever unsure what a nail colour looks like, go to Google images, which will give you plenty of contrasts and compares.
