OPI - Muppets - EXCUSE MOI!

Nails I Love

OPI – Excuse Moi!

Hi Goddesses

Excuse Moi! is one of the glitters from OPI’s Muppets Collection.  Before we start, be honest – hands up if you said “excuse moi!” in Miss Piggy’s voice?  Lol, I did J  everytime I say it or read it, I hear her voice inside my head.

So, one head toss later, let’s look at the polish!  Firstly, I want to point out that Excuse Moi! (head toss) is totally different to the other glitters in the Muppets Collection. This one looks like it’s been through the blender, and is all the better for it.  The glitter is MUCH smaller, and it also has a base colour.

The base is a super subtle dark nude pink – pretty much the pink you see on the nail.  The glitter is ker-azy – silver, green, pink, gold, blue – this is a pink rainbow confection!

This reminds me of Teenage Dream’s older cooler sister who just left home and got her own flat.  It’s darker than TD, and more multi-coloured, but there a lot of similarities between them.

Unlike the other glitters in the collection, I don’t think you need to layer Excuse Moi! (head toss).  I have layered them, but I think there’s only 1 nail where it looks different.  I used Colour Club IN BLOOM for the index finger (this is the colour I used for my Candy Shop dupe; it’s a nice rosy pink), OPI Yucatan If U Want on the middle finger (a dark chocolate pink), and Sally Hansen SHRIMPLY DIVINE on the ring finger (a bubblegum pink).  (The thumb and little finger are just Excuse Moi!  head toss).

I can definitely tell I used a base layer with Yucatan, but not with the others.

This is a very pretty pink, very girly, but not so girly that it makes you sick.  I think the multi colours of the glitter save it – I’m not sure this would work half as well if the glitters were just silver-toned.

For some reason this reminds me of colour sugar or the dust you get from crushed sweets.  Whatever, I love it ….

Enjoy!  J

Top Tip – if you’re ever unsure what a nail colour looks like, go to Google images, which will give you plenty of contrasts and compares.
