Hi Goddesses
There were soooooo many ways to go with today's mani, and in the end, I decided I had to go with the blogger who I chose as my Blogger of the Year - Jacki from Adventures in Acetone.
Jacki has MANY manis that I love, and many that I toyed with recreating, but as I scrolled through her back catalogue, I realised THIS one had had a profound effect on me.
I remember when I saw this mani - it was about the first time I had ever said "OMG I've GOT to have that plate". At that point, I didn't expect it to take me almost a year to get my sticky little mitts on it, but it did! (For those who like the details it's Messy Mansion plate MM14).
I used a variety of polishes to create the base -
Barry M Sugar Apple
Barry M Blueberry
Barry M Dragon
I liked that in Jacki's version, the stamping wasn't too domineering, so I used a grey, Barry M Chai, so that I didn't overload the pastel base.
I still love this mani, both my version and Jacki's. I think some sort of tropical parrot needs to be the next stop :)
