Hi Goddesses
Today I get to feature one of my very favourite bloggers in a guest post, the utterly exquisite Lisa-Mari from Polished Elegance. It's not just her designs I love, it's that lovely soft focus photography which seems to take me back to the 60s and gives everything she does such a wonderful vintage feel. Thanks Lisa!

Hello everyone of Debbies amazing readers! My name is Lisa and I share my ever growing addiction to nail polish and nail art over at my blog Polished Elegance. I was so honored when Debbie named me one of the bloggers to watch in 2014 and even more honored when she asked me to do a guest post for her! And then complete anxiety hit when I realized I was doing a guest post for "the Crumpet", what in the world would I do? Luckily(?) I had the day I was doing this post wrong and when Debbie asked if my post was ready, it was not, but I had just done a manicure and decided it would just have to do!
I was planning to something a little more "me", but then again, it's pink and nothing says "me" more than pink ;) Also, since I think of Debbie as an advocate of indie nail polish this manicure does fit in!
I went on a major shopping spree at llarowe a few weeks ago and bought quite a few indies from my wishlist (everyone they had in stock plus a couple more). Emily de Molly - Girls Best Friend was one of those beauties. Here I have three easy coats of this hot pink jelly base packed with holographic glitter in hexagon and square shapes. Then I wanted to spice it up a little and decided to accent my thumb and ring finger with white and black chevrons. I really like the contrast between the crisp chevrons and the cute pink :)
I cut tape with craft scissors to get clean lines for the chevrons (my hands are really shaky, I don't think I'll ever be able to freehand straight lines!). A tip for easy cutting? Double up on tape! Tape one piece over another, it makes the tape sturdier and much easier to cut! I used OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls and Lade In Black for the chevrons.
Look at that squishy pink jelly!
Wow, I wrote a whole lot more than I had planned in this post, lol! I hope I didn't scare you with all my words, I'm usually not this talkative on my own blog! I want to thank Debbie so much for letting me spam her blog with both my pictures and my words, and I hope you will all come visit me at my blog :)
