Hi Goddesses
And welcome to 2 sensational weeks of nail art! This month, to coincide with our amazing GIVEAWAY, the Digit-al Dozen are recreating the 12 themes we have done in the last year.
Sometimes that's good news, and at other times - geeks, books, "festiveness" (in September, seriously?) - not so much fun lol. But hey, that's why it's a challenge :)
Our first theme, last September was blue. A nice, gentle, easy theme. And today I have not one blue, but 3, all from the new OPI San Francisco Collection - Dining All Frisco, (the pale one), Incognito in Sausalito, (the very dark one) and Keeping Suzi At Bay (the middle one).
On base we have Dining Al Frisco, which is my least favourite of the 3 - I just found it rather meh. I then freehanded triangles in the 2 darker colours for some geometric style nail art.
You'll probably notice a difference in some of the photos. The originals were super glossy, to the point where it was really hard to discern the pattern, so I added a coat of Pretty & Polished Wax On Top Coat to dull it down a little, but not too much.
Wax top coats have suddenly appeared, and I am quite liking my experiments with them. As you see here, they don't totally flatten the colour like a matte top coat does, and I like that in the waxed photos, the colours still have some life.
Don't forget to check out the Giveaway and the other ladies of awesome, and I'll be back tomorrow with Hallowe'en. I kid you not.
Enjoy xx :)
