Hi Goddesses
Today is a very very VERY exciting day. Today sees the launch of the Sat-ART-Day Club, my latest nail art challenge which I run through my Facebook Group Crumpet's Nail Tarts. We're going to be posting every Saturday, and we have a really wild and eclectic selection of themes to push and challenge us like never before.
I want to give you some background first. The group used to be called Purple Crumpet Fairy and this summer, it seemed to me that that name was no longer appropriate. Also, it didn't describe what we did, nor was it easy to find if you were looking for a nail polish group. After a LOT of debate we picked Crumpet's Nail Tarts as the new name, and that's where today's challenge springs from.
You see, this group is filled with some awesome ladies with a great sense of humour. We picked "tarts" as part of our name because it contains the word "art", as in "nail art", and because we're funny. We also loved the duality of the word - a tart is a trollop / slutty kind of woman, and is also a type of pastry. So today, you're going to see a LOT of varied manis as we pay homage to both.
As I've been quite poorly, my inspiration has been low, so I went with the pastry option. Each nail was painted with a jelly type polish -
thumb - HITS Can Can with Wet n Wild Tangled In My Web
index - Lush Lacquer Tropical Kisses
middle - Hungry Asian Strawberry
ring - Lush Lacquer Bananaberry Blast
pinkie - Lush Lacquer Slime Time
To create the pastry effect I used Zoya Farrah and my largest dotting tool, and literally just framed the edges of my nail.
Framing is a really easy thing to do, so if you're looking to "tart up" a normal mani, give it a whirl!
Enjoy - and don't forget to check out what everyone else is doing in the thumbnails below xx :)
