The Sat-ART-Day Club - 1950s

Hi Goddesses

Today's Sat-ART-Day Club sees a very different type of theme - a decade.  When I think of the 1950s, I immediately think of stunning dresses and hourglass figures - clothes that made a woman look sooooo womanly, so that's what I went with today.

At one point, I was going to go with 5 dresses, one on each nail, but I didn't know whether I'd be able to pull it off, so I only did that on my thumb.

Most of the other nails are polka dot - this is kind of my defining fashion pattern from the 50s, I can always see polka-dotted skirts in my head.  All the polka dotting was done with a dotting tool.

I wanted to stick to a simple palette so I picked again the colours which to me are 1950s - black, white, red and pink. I used OPI Black Onyx, My Boyfriend Scales Wall and Sparrow Me The Drama and Max Factor Red Passion.

If I could go back in time and wear only one decade of fashion, I *think* it would be this one - was it the 50s that also had Capri pants?  If so, then yes, the 50s, with all it's hope, simplicity and family values is where I wanna be :)

Enjoy xx :)
