Today sees the end of the GOT Polish Challenge as it currently is. From next week, it gets replaced with the 52 week Pick n Mix Challenge, although you can still apply the GOT rules if you want to.
I wanted to commemorate the moment lol, but this is not the final prompt - this is the prompt from a couple of weeks ago: a polish you've ignored for too long.
I got DS Glamour in a swap after wanting it for ages. Did I want it because it's awesome, or because it's so HTF? Ah, now that's the question, and I think the fact I rarely use it hints at the latter. Also, I feel I shouldn't waste it lol, so again, rarely used.
It's a lovely denim holo, and I do love these old OPI DS polishes for that. It has a dreamy formula, and it's just lovely. Notice that for me it's not "sexy" or "amazing".
Last year Ninja Polish released a dupe called Glamorous and I thought I should finally compare them. Ninja is on the middle and ring fingers.
They are very similar, but Ninja has the volume turned up a fraction. It's like the older OPI looks ... old .. on the nail, and the new kid on the block has a little bit more dazzle. It's more vibrant, slightly more intense, the colour is deeper.

Today's mani was a total accident, and I rather like it :)
I had been wearing Pandorica by Digital Nails and wanted to do something over it. I wanted something bright, happy and easy ... so I decided to do a drip mani.
I've done these before, but usually only when I am doing manis with blood lol. This time I used the advice of others and used a dotting tool to create my "drip" - I am not sure this helped actually, or maybe I just used too big a dotting tool.
I then used a fairly small nail art brush to draw in the rest of the mani. It's quite trial and error I think to get this mani to look ok to the eye.

pinkie - Morgan Taylor Perfect Match
I have to say, my favourite part of this mani is the skittling of the colours, and I'm glad I decided that early on.

As I've mentioned, I had the best time a few weeks ago playing with the new Wrinkle In Time collection from Literary Lacquers. All the polishes play with each other so nicely that nail art was BOUND to happen.
This is the first of many, and it's so simple, it might just be my favourite.
This features Aunt Beast and the purple drama of Megatron (which is slightly muted by sitting on Auntie's base). I especially love how gritty Aunt Beast looks in these photos. She's completely smooth to the touch, but I love how she looks a little bit dirty.
I did some zig zag chevrons using my nail stickers, and then did something I don't often do - picked out some matching rhinestones for the other nails.
Top tip - I obeyed the Nailasaurus and used tweezers to place my stickers. It really was easier, and much simpler to get them to move 1mm to the left too!

Welcome to Monday! Or, welcome to Start of the Week Endurance Day! I hate Mondays lol, so here's some pretty to divert us.
I origianlly did this mani a few weeks ago for the DD Summer Week, when I was worried I wouldn't come up with any good ideas. Summer for me means feeling red hot and mithered all the time, so I did this hot-hot-hot base using Zoya Maura and a few swipes of pink and yellow.
The stamping design is from MoYou Pro XL 20 and is a lovely super swirly thing. I chose to stamp in a dark burgundy, because I am just sooooo sick of the clean up Konad Black requires these days, and I think it helped add to the "we're overheating" look.
If you want to spice up your stamping, playing with your base is probably the easiest way to do it - however messy the base, it always looks artful and deliberate once the stamp lands on top.
