New Brand Week - WingDust Collections

Hi Goddesses

We end New Brand Week with a brand that will be familiar to a lot of you, but which I hadn't gotten around to - WingDust.   This is a brand I have been wanting to try for a long time, but polishes were always out of stock or I was always out of money lol.

We start with Snakeskin Shoes, which I was sent for review by Rainbow Connection, their UK stockist.  This is a darkest, DARKEST purple jelly laden with glitter.  I used 2 coats.

Here’s the weird thing though about WingDust – the polishes have a really thick consistency (especially Snakeskin Shoes), yet they are not hard to apply.  It’s almost as if the thickness makes the glitter easier to spread, so don’t be worried if you feel like you’re spreading jam on your nail – as you can see, it levels out beautifully.

Next we have the utterly sensational I Am Yours and You Are Mine.  This is just argh, a trophy of polishes.  This has a dark rose pink holo base, and is then speckled with magenta and gold glitter.

Seriously, this is utterly to die for.  It’s like crushed velvet, crushed jewels …. And it’s utterly mesmerising.  The colour is rich and vibrant and argh – I just want to stare and stare.

It's also a triumph of polish making.  Holos with glitter have never impressed me before - it's always like one detracts from the other - but here, they just work in sublime harmony.   This is already on the list for Polishes of 2014 lol.

And finally, Gilt-y Pleasures.  This is the WingDust I have craved the longest, and it was worth it.  Unlike most gold leaf glitter toppers, this also contains white gold / silver as well as iridescent flakes which flash blue.

This is just totally gorgeous on. It’s layered here over Elevation Polish Jengish Chokusu, and I used one and a half coats.  As I was wearing this, I was really impressed how much it caught the light – a really happy mani - especially those phosphorous blue elements.

As I mentioned, one polish was sent for review, the other 2 were purchased by me.  If you are in the UK, you can purchase WingDust HERE and you can follow their Facebook here.

I hope you've enjoyed New Brand Week - should we do it again? xx
