Crumpet Reviews - The Polish Bar - Summer 2013 Collection

Hi Goddesses

The summer polishes are emerging quick and fast, and today I have some of the Summer 2013 Collection from The Polish Bar which I was sent for review.  This Collection launches on Monday 10th June.

The Polish Bar is one of my favourite indie brands, but some of the more recent polishes haven’t quite been my cup of tea.  They’ve relied heavily on shaped glitters, so I’m pleased to see this collection return more to colour.

We start with Girls Rule, because it’s AWESOME.  As you know, I am not a fan of white polishes as my skin tone just doesn’t suit it, but I LOVE this polish.  Round glitters!  LOTS of round glitters!

This is a lovely fusion of aqua, pink and white, and is just perfect for summer.  Round glitters!

Beach Party is its sibling – another white based glitter, but this one is loaded with neon glitters, primarily pink and lilac.  There is orange in here too, which is a genius move, but I would have liked a little more of it.

I layered both of my white polishes over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.  Overall, I prefer Girls Rule.   Beach Party has very small white glitters and bar glitters in it, which can give the polish a lumpy appearance – I think this would have looked glossier and more fabulous without them.

Together Forever is the crazy green glitter :)  I know a lot of you will love this one.    A peppering of black and white, and an abundance of teal and lime glitters.

Again, I am loving the neon glitters, although I personally would have preferred green squares to stars.  I layered this over China Glaze Re-fresh-Mint.

Summer of Love is The Purple One!  A lovely glitter topper, this also has a truckload of shimmer in it.  I have it here layered over Essence Prom-Berry, which for me gives it a midsummer’s night sky vibe.

This glitter is lovely.  Personally, I don’t think it needs the occasional heart or flower – it’s pretty enough on its own – but I know I’m probably in the minority there!

You can buy The Polish Bar on Etsy HERE and follow on Facebook HERE, and you need to follow, because Summer holos are coming next !!!!

These polishes were sent to me for an honest review.  Enjoy xx
