Hi Goddesses
And here we are, finally, the end of Bling Week. I thought I’d hate it, but it hasn’t been so bad. Day 5 is definitely my most adventurous mani of the week, and continues the progression you’ve seen since Monday – today is actual art!
A bit like yesterday though, man this looked so much better in person. Note to self – metallic base polishes are not conducive to great photos of your nail art! Again, the camera freaked that there was so much going …
The base is The GlamourEx Factor by Catrice, a pretty straight forward gold metallic that applies as easily as warm butter. I decided to go floral, so I picked out lots of multi coloured flower jewels to add to my nails.
Once I was done, I decided something was missing, and wondered whether I should add some leaves and greenery around the flowers. I used my trusty green acrylic paint, and my super thin nail art brush from Born Pretty, and did some vines and occasional leaves.
And (honestly, it looked better in real life) FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. I was so proud of it. Really proud. And then I photographed it. Then it was all “well ain’t nobody gonna believe me now” lol.
So believe me, this mani rocked. You can maybe get a hint of how good it looked, but I might have to do it again one day over a plainer base for you to truly appreciate it.
I hope you’ve enjoyed Bling Week – I have, surprisingly. It’s a bit like toddler playtime too, sticking things on your nails. Good fun.
Enjoy, and have a great weekend! xx
