Digit-al Dozen DOES Patterns on Patterns - Hearts on Swipey Stripes

Hi Goddesses

And so the week comes to an end, and unlike last month, I am really sad.  I've really enjoyed this theme, and I think this inspiration will stay with me for a while.

We end the week with a heart design for Valentine's Day over a design I did for Day 9 of the 31DC.

Polishes Used -

Barry M Almond
OPI In A Holidaze
OPI Love. Angel. Music. Baby
BM-620

I love the stamping here.  LAMB stamps so beautifully and sparkly and the contrast with the rich ruby of the base is perfect.

I hope you've enjoyed this week - don't forget to check out my fellow lovely ladies :)

52 Week Challenge - Purple

Hi Goddesses

It's been a weird week this week.  For the first time in ages, I've not had a lot of motivation for blogging or painting my nails.  I'm going to 100% blame it on this horrendous cold I've had, as some days I haven't felt motivated to do anything!

This week's 2nd prompt for the 52 Week Challenge is purple, and I dug a long forgotten (and never used) gem out of my collection - Different Dimension Orchid You Not.

It's a lovely bright purple with violet tinges to it.   I sometimes get a bit jaded with purple holos, because I own so many of them, but this one was a nice change.

As this week's other 52 Week prompt was hearts, I did some multi-colour stamping, using 3 MoYou stamping polishes and MoYou Punk 06 plate.

I love the finished result, that it has a slightly tattered and edgy look, and isn't too cutesy.

Digit-al Dozen DOES Patterns on Patterns - Plaid on Tape Mani

Hi Goddesses

Today's mani is one of the first I did for this week's challenge, and features a mani I did for Day 2 of January's 31DC.

I was in love with the tape mani I had done on 3 fingers, and was curious to see if it could take another pattern - and I think it did!

The polishes are -

base - Literary Lacquers - Shadown Between Us
Indigo Bananas - Halcyon, Twice As Bright, Electric Unicorns

Before I did the stamping, I did a little bit of splodging with the same polishes on the 2 non-taped nails, and then I stamped using MoYou purple stamping polish and MoYou Pro 01.

Unexpectedly it works, and it looks pretty similar to quite a lot of socks I have!

Digit-al Dozen DOES Patterns on Patterns - Tribal Dotticure

Hi Goddesses

I've got to say, I am REALLY in love with today's mani.  It's so bright and cheerful.

The base is a dotticure.  I've often stamped on a splodged base, but I have accidentally discovered that a dotted base provides far more colour intensity. The dotticure had some super bright colours -

OPI Hot & Spicy
OPI Fashion A Bow
OPI Can't Find My Czechbook
Barry M Mustard
Barry M Damson
Rimmel Jazz Funk

This reminds me of a child's party - a clutch of bright balloons or mad vinyl table cloths.

The stamping comes from MoYou Explorer 11 and is pretty much your archetypal tribal pattern.

I love how this pops more over the dotted base than it would have over a plain or splodged base, or even a gradient.   I have a couple more variations of this coming up in the next few weeks.
