Hi Goddesses
I've got some AWESOME nail art today which is also super cheerful! (But I hate that because it's neon my skin tone is all off - hate that!)
I was sent Hocus Pocus by Girly Bits for review, and intially I was unenthused. I've tried a few holo top coats, and none of them have pleased me. This is because they sit ON TOP of the colour, rather than melding with it, and therefore the holo effect is never wow enough for me.
Hocus Pocus changed my mind - but we'll get to that in a minute. Let's start with the base. This is a triple gradient over white featuring 3 Girly Bits neons - Thump Your Melons, Hip Hoop Hurray and Hoop, Here It Is. My camera hates neons, so bear in mind these were bolder in real life!
What I didn't expect, when I added the layer of Hocus Pocus was that it would also really bend the gradient together too. I was actually bowled over by the prettiness here.
This is probably the first holo top coat I've tried that I would want to use again, and I love the warmth and fun it added to an already bold manicure.
Finally, I did some stamping with one of my Lily Anna plates - Lily Anna 11. I had a little bit of trouble with it at the time, which I now know was due to having my desk fan on! (Something which has never caused a problem before). Seriously, how are we supposed to stamp in the heat!
I love the finished effect here. A beautiful blended flower, bright and cheerful .... and bendy :) I wonder if it's a crocus? Or is that too much to ask?
For those of you who don't yet know, you can buy Girly Bits HERE and don't forget to check out the new Vegas Collection. Hocus Pocus was sent for my honest review - all other Girly Bits shown belong 100% to me :)
