Literary Lacquers Magic & Mysteries Collection Part 2

Hi Goddesses

And welcome to Part 2 of the latest collection from Literary Lacquers.  In this post, we look at the bolder colours.

We're going to start with the standout polish.  And yes, it's a green.   This polish is just utterly entrancing, hypnotic and mesmerising - and as you know, me and green, uh huh.

Avada Kedavra starts off matte, and looks good, but get a top coat on her and OH MY GOD.  The green becomes instantly more serpentine, the glitters more toxic and the overall tone darker and more sinister.

For a polish that takes its name from dark magic, I don't think there could be a more perfect representation.  This is poisonous, bewitching, and utterly off the scale.

After all the poison, an antedote is required, and palates don't come more cleansed than Octarine.

Octarine is a lovely mauvey gentle holo that redefines the word "soft".  Super calming and docile, this is elegant in every way.

Cast From Stormhold is a purple (I love that Amy does a lot of purples) but quite a different one to the ones we usually see.

Firstly, this is lighter and brighter in tone - more blackcurrant-ish - and with a subtle flakieness and metallic edge.   I like that this is so different - good enough to drink!

And finally, the squish and splish of spring / summer happiness - Flickum Bicus.

As well as being the brightest and happiest polish in the collection, Flickum Bicus pulls off the feat of a sun-hot polish wearing the coldest cloak of bluish shimmer.  A real juxtaposition, and a very heady summer cocktail.
