Zoya PixieDust - NYX

Hi Goddesses

Here's the 2nd of my PixieDust posts, and I have to say, it's touch and go whether Nyx or Vespa is my true favourite from this collection.

Both polishes share an exquisite dusty quality, and the colour tone is just perfect.

Nyx reminds me a lot of last year's famous Rotterdam / Herring / Skylar polishes, except in PixieDust form.

Seriously, I could wear this every day :)

Glossy, it's just as gorgeous, but again, like Vespa, it's the matte version that just blows me away, time and time again.

Now that I have Nyx, I'm going to be de-stashing quite a few of my dusty pale blues - when you own something as exquisite as this, why do you need anything else ?

Enjoy xx :)

Work Wear Wednesday - CIRQUE Book of Shadows

Hi Goddesses

Happy Happy Hump Day!!  I am exhausted already - early night anyone ?

I teased you at the weekend by showing you 2 of the 3 Cirque polishes I received for review from Sally Magpies.  Well, I saved the 3rd one for today, because I think it IS work appropriate, and it's also a teeny bit special.

Book of Shadows is a metallic polish, but feather light in application.   Most metallics are opaque in 1 coat; this one is like gossamer.  I am wearing 2 coats in the photos, and there was a little VNL, but I didn't want to make the polish look heavier by wearing a 3rd coat.

What I love about this polish is that it's a shape shifter.  It's dusty mauve, icy lilac, dove grey, medium grey - all rolled into one, and all at the same time.

It's muted tones make it perfect Work Wear, whilst it's chameleon sensibilities give it the added wow factor.   Super delicious.

You can buy Cirque polishes at Sally Magpies HERE.

This polish was sent to me for review.

Enjoy xx :)

Zoya PixieDust - Vespa

Hi Goddesses

OMG hold on to your hats !!!  This is a green polish and I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Phew, glad I got that out :)  Welcome to the first of my Zoya PIxieDust posts.  My plan was to show the 4 polishes I bought in one long post, but I fell in love with them SO hard, I don't think that can do them justice.  Instead they're going to get a post each.

We start with the amazing Vespa which has done the absolute impossible - made me love a green polish.  Wow, I love this sooooo much.

The tone is the perfect green for me - that sagey dusty colour.  Love it.

All the Pixies are laden with this amazing silver dust, which makes the manicure STUNNING.  Seriously, I love this in it's matte state MORE than I love the glossed version.

That's not to say I don't love the glossed version, I do, I do, I dooooooo, but the matte is so special and so unique.

In terms of the texture, these polishes are closest to the Barry Ms .. but, oh my, seriously, they made me PURR.

Enjoy xx :)

Still to come - Nyx, Chyna and London

piCture pOlish Monday - Orbit

Hi Goddesses

Is it me or are the weekends getting shorter and shorter?  I really don't know where this one has gone, and I don't even have a lot of manis to show for it!

Today it's time for a purple piCture pOlish, the lovely Orbit. Orbit is the very definition of an effortless polish - this is 1 coat.  1 coat !!!

This applied soooooo easily and effortlessly and dried quickly too.   If I only ever have 5 minutes to do my nails, this is what I'll be reaching for.

Orbit is one of the Mesh shades that piCture pOlish do, which means it has metal embedded within the colour.   This reminds me a lot of an OPI Suede, except it's glossy.

It's a dark, dark inky purple, with less of the blue tones you see in some of the photos - absolutely gorgeous is what it is.

For fun, I reached for the stamper and some pirate-y sword play from MJ7.

I then added a layer of Essie Matte About You to flatten the look down and make it more "metal".

This is not a "me" mani at all but there's something about the combo that I really love :)

Don't forget to check out what Claudia's up to - she's got Violet Femme today :) xx

This polish was sent to me for review.  You can buy piCture pOlish from a variety of places which are listed HERE.  If you are in the UK, you can now buy piCture pOlish from the magnificent Sally Magpies HERE.
