Hi Goddesses
It's another wonderfully catchy blog post title!! Haha. Today merges the final day of DD Nail Heroes week with 40 Great Nail Art Ideas.
Let's start with 40GNAI first. My prompt today is dotting tools, and the colour is red. And I fell oh so lucky with this prompt. I have no idea who invented dotting tools, but I wanted to acknowledge him / her this week as a supreme Nail Hero. I honestly don't know what I'd do without dotting tools - they're my everything! I use them to dot, colour in, draw outlines, everything! Whoever you are, THANK YOU!
The prompt of red was also a great opportunity to show you my 2 favourite red holos of all time - ironically, both by the same brand, Darling Diva. I've been a Diva fan for about 4 years and seen the brand evolve from weird glitter mixes and strange potions, to classy holos and vixen central.
I'm going to say this loud - The Alchemist, by Darling Diva, is THE best red holo of all time. Bar none. No exceptions. A pure, bright red, it's perfect.
If you like your reds a little vampier, you'll want Bewbs, also by Darling Diva - a fantastically blood-drenched gothic red. Again - accept no imitations.
I wanted this mani to show what dotting tools can do, and how much fun they can be. Ultimately though, this was a BITCH to photograph. It looked so pwetty on my nails!
Finally, just in case this is goodbye, GOODBYE and SO MUCH LOVE and THANKS for following me. I do think there will be other posts, especially of the Digit-al Dozen variety, but they are likely to be very random! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this blog a part of your life xx
Hi Goddesses
Today's post is another blogger and another brand. The blogger is Cris from Let Them Have Polish, and back when I first started, she was one of my 3 essential blogs (along with Chalkboard Nails and The Polishaholic).
Every day I would be wowed by Cris's designs. She was the mistress of the skittle, and also the mistress of the relatively simple. If you look back on her designs, none of them are particularly complex, but she excelled at mixing and matching so that the sum was more than the parts.
Cris was a great stamper, and really opened my eyes to what Konad could bring to a mani. She was also obsessed with this liger design, and who can blame her! She also knew how to bling it up. She constantly added little touches - a rhinestone, or a holo top coat - that just made her mani a little bit MORE. There's no one else filling her gap. I miss her.
As for polishes, I wanted to honour Girly Bits this week. Girly Bits was my first indie polish purchase, waaaay back when she first started, and I don't think Pam is given enough praise for how much she has influenced the indie polish market. She has been epicly consistent over the years, and is a true pioneer. I chose the stunning teal that is Get Weaponised and the purple magic of Defying Gravity.
For my other polishes, I chose ones Cris introduced me too. I'd never heard of Bettina until she started singing their praises, and although I don't own many, they are all gorgeous. The best thing Cris ever did though was introduce me to Oh My Oceania by Sation - the most EXQUISITE shimmery aqua EVERRRRR.
Cris, salute xx

Hi Goddesses
And welcome! Isn't that just the catchiest blog title you've read in ages hahahaha. Today's post is a double whammy - some holo gradient nail art, with stamping on top - all from my top polish loves.
As is fitting, Literary Lacquers is the only brand to feature twice this week. My love for Amy is like no other. I also today have Indigo Bananas, and Grace-full Nail Polish, 2 of my other very favourite brands.
Do you own Literary Lacquers or Indigo Bananas? If you don't, you really should. Amy and Andrea are, for me, twins. They both make polishes with a "less is more" sensibility, and are also able to see what's just around the corner in terms of new and exciting, and subtle twists. That's why with Amy you get her amazing "crunchy holos" - the perfect mix of glitter and holo, and why with Andrea you'll gasp at a secret shimmer or flakie which is unlike anything you've ever seen before.
Grace-full Nail Polish had a STONKING 2015. If I'd written my end of year posts, Theresa's Happily Ever After holo collection would have been my collection of the year. I wore it more than any other, and the polishes just worked so well together. Theresa has really become a holo mistress, and if you're looking for consistently fab and epic holos, she is definitely where to look.
So in my little painted gradient, I chose some of my favourites from each brand -
Literary Lacquers - Greatest Treasures - the polish that started my love affair with the brand
Literary Lacquers - Veronika - a stonking purple from her most recent collection
Indigo Bananas - Volcanic Corruption - a terrific fiery red
Grace-full Nail Polish - Magenta Sparks, a stunning cerise
Whilst I loved the holo fruit pastille lollipop I was wearing, of course I had to stamp over it, and I chose Illusion 04 from MoYou, one of my favourite MoYou plates.
MoYou totally changed the stamping plate market, and their semi-weekly releases were genius and financially crippling! They brought a level of inventiveness to the market that hadn't been seen before, and for me they are utter game-changers, as well as being 100% reliable in terms of quality.
