#52WPNMC - 1960s - Rolling Stones Nail Art

Hi Goddesses

The pattern prompt in this week's 52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge is 1960s, and I had so many thoughts of where to go - tie it in to DD week; black n white; The Beatles .... there is SO MUCH iconography for the 60s, that inspiration is sort of endless.

I liked the music theme, but thought the Beatles might be a bit too monochromatic, so turned to their devilish counterparts, The Rolling Stones.  The Stones are coooool, and much as I'd like to think I'd have been a Stones girl in the 60s, I'm pretty sure my pop heart would have drawn me to the Beatles (at least until they went all beardy weirdy).

When you Google The Rolling Stones, the tongue is EVERYWHERE.  Everywhere.  And in all sorts of colours too - even Warholesque.  I groaned, as we all know my drawing skills are not the best, but a quick trial with the pencil persuaded me I could at least TRY.

So try I did, and I have to say, I am amazed it still actually looks like a tongue lol.  I didn't want to push it too far and do the multi-coloured tongue skittle that I'd have liked to have done - there's only so much luck you can expect in 1 mani lol.
