Crumpet Reviews - Barry M Texture - The Royal Glitter Collection

Hi Goddesses

This year has been the year of texture, so it's no surprise to see more textured polishes from Barry and his M.  The big question, of course, was "are they like the Sequins".  Gather closer and rejoice - NOOOOOO!

These are all fabulous.  They are glittery textures (a bit like the original OPI Liquid Sand polishes), with smooth application and *just* the right amount of sparkle.  Although the colours are very autumnal, they are also very Christmassy, and I think you'll get a lot of wear out of them.    I liked all 5, and I think 2 are destined to be modern classics.  But which 2??  Mwahahaha, let's find out.

Countess.  Amazing.  Just bloody amazing.  Legend of all polishes.  Classic of our times.  One of the polishes of the year.  THAT good.

In the bottle, I honestly thought this was brown.  But no, it's a purple.  A purple woven with gold and copper glitter and just enough magenta sparkle to make you go ooooooh.  Behold the glossy finger - it's a firework display!

I ... I just ... honestly, this polish leaves me speechless.  It is sooooo amazing, and so beautiful.  It reminds me of Zoya Julieann in its delicious colour fusion.  It's just perfect, absolutely perfect, and I think it's an absolute must have.

Majesty is a gold, and super blingy it is too.  This is so perfect for nights out and New Year's Eve!

Also, I love that the gold is muted and has an antique vibe, so this stays classy, and just looks magical on the nail.   This one is a colour for all seasons.

Duchess is really pretty.  She's a rose beige glitter, and really lovely.

There's a lot of warmth in this colour, and it's also a very ladylike tone.   This is a great neutral that looks like she belongs in front of a roaring fire, with a glass of egg nog :)

Princess .... it's perfect, isn't it?  Perfectly named, and full of Disney magic.   The colour mix in this one is beyond stunning.  In certain lights, the base colour itself is almost a duochrome, with patches where it turns a darker pink.

A word about my photos here.  There are not purple specks in this polish, it's just a trick of the light, where the camera is picking up glittery goodness.  Because there is already so much awesome and gold going on, the camera basically had a brain melt, and didn't know what to do!

Now, this is not my personal favourite in terms of colour (as in, it's not one I would reach for to wear), but it is definitely one of the most beautifully crafted polishes in this quintet, a real work of art.

And finally .... Lady.   Ok, first of all, what a sucky name.  Lady makes me think of a cocker spaniel.  They should have named this one Ice Queen, or (after the woman who was nasty to Maria in The Sound of Music), Baroness.  She deserves a way cooler name than Lady.

This goddess, well, she blew in from the icy shores.   This is like crushed ice and crushed diamonds on the nail, a lattice of crystal purity that is just breathtaking.

For me, it's the perfect bridal colour, and that's why I can see this being the 2nd eternal classic from this Collection.   You all KNOW I detest white polishes, but wow, I really truly love this one.  Again, artistry.

Today, I am not going to talk about removal - that will come in the FAQ post later in the week.   I think 3 or 4 of the polishes have a glossy index nail so you can see how they look - shiny is the answer!

I am sooooo impressed with these polishes.  They are beautiful, classy, regal, and full on gorgeous in every way.

These beauties will retail at £3.99 and launch in Superdrug on September 25th, and in Boots on October 2nd.

These polishes were sent to me for an honest review - enjoy xx
