Crumpet - Not Just A Nail Polish Whore

Hi Goddesses

A very different kind of post for you today.  This blog will never be a beauty blog, but I know a lot of you have wider interests than just nail polish, so I thought I'd share with you some purchases I made this week.

Beth and I had several road trips, and I indulged in some quality make up AND my other big love, stationery.  Let's take a peek.

The week started with a BeneFit eyeshadow kit.  There's not many brands that package better than Benefit.  My current make-up holy grail is to find a taupe-grey eyeshadow that has a hint of lilac or blue.  Jennifer Lopez wore an amazing one in Maid In Manhattan, but I can't find one.

I bought this kit for Raincheck, a gorgeous grey-lilac, and also for this little pot of mush, which can be worn as an eyeliner, or thinned out as an eyeshadow.

Later in the week, we went to Leeds to visit my best friend, Rachel, who is also Beth's Auntie Fluffy.   We made a pilgrimage to Harvey Nicks, in an attempt to find .... THIS.

This is Lavender Spice by Trish McEvoy.  One of my favourite EVER perfumes, but only sold in the UK via Harvey Nicks.  It's a gorgeous combination of lavender and mint, and you can smell it ALL DAY LONG.  Think Jo Malone .... but better.

So I am now a very happy - and sweet smelling - Crumpet.

Of course, there had to be a pilgrimage to the MAC counter, where, not content with buying the BeneFit eyeshadow box, I then searched for the same thing by MAC.  Yep, THIS is my sickness.  I buy multiple versions of everything, trying to find the best.  Silly girl.

So I ended up with 2 gorgeous eyeshadows, a wet eyeshadow pot, and a great dark grey eyeliner.  Ah, MAC.  Genius product of all lifetimes.

After that it was time for Paperchase.  Beth had already barred me from visiting the one in Lincoln, but as Auntie Fluffy ALSO wanted to visit, she allowed me to shop.  Sigh, she is SO bossy.  Best bit though was that as we left and she hugged HER little bag of purchases, she whispered, "you were right, Mummy, this IS the best shop" lol.  And that was AFTER she'd worn MAC and Dior lipgloss!

I'm going to do some posts soon on how I plan my blog, but basically, I am obsessed with organising.  Crap at following through, but I love to see what the future should look like, so I bought these 2 planners to help me schedule my posts.

This one is HUGE, bigger than A4

They also had these stunning leopard print books on 3 for 2 - fat, chunky, wide lines - awesome!

This little pocket planner is cute, and ideal for .... I don't know, I'll find a way to use it.

And I also bought this amazing box .... because it was amazing AND it will make a great mani very soon lol.

Lol.  I hope that was vaguely interesting for you - you'll have to let me know if you like the odd random post like this, or not.

Enjoy xx :)
