Indie Week - Flames by Feenix Polish

Hi Goddesses

It's Indie Week again, and I don't know about you, but that always gets me excited :)  With one exception, this week is showcasing brands you haven't seen on The Crumpet before and are all very recent purchases.  If I had to pick, my favourite post is the Rainbow Honey one coming up on Wednesday, but these are ALL stunning.

So we start today with Flames, the wonderfully dramatic sounding glitter from, appropriately enough, Feenix.   I bought 3 polishes from her Etsy shop last month - a stunning holographic top coat, a gold glitterbomb called Key West Treasure, and this one.  Since then I've been back for 4 more - I adore her inventiveness, and understanding of colour AND it feels like genuine thought and creativity go into the polishes.

So what is Flames?  Well, apart from being the most perfectly named polish of all time, it's a Thesaurus defintion for any and all of the following - fire, orange, autumn.

This is an absolute riotfest on the nail, ranging from orange to rust to russet to gold, dispersed with random red and blue.   Predominantly, this is the colour of rust - an amazing burnt and blistered, corroded metal.

As ever, the photos don't do this complete justice.   The indoor ones especially, don't convey it's sheer KABOOM - and it's not as pale as the indoor photos make it look.  The outdoor photos are much truer in tone, but don't pick up the sparkle (thanks, British clouds) or the occasional holographic twinkling going on.

This is as sensational as it is splendid.  For a thick glitter, it applied easily.  I think this was 3 coats, and you can see how that has created perfect coverage.

Love, love, love - you'll definitely be seeing more Feenix fantasticness soon.  In the meantime, you can go shopping on Etsy HERE.

Enjoy xx :)
