Zoya Sklylar

Hi Goddesses

Again this will be brief, because I know there are a ton of posts out there about Skylar, but as I was also blogging OPI's Herring and Rotterdam, it didn't seem fair for Sklyar to miss out.

Oh and is it just me, or does anyone else want to sing out "All aboard the Skylar" when they think of this polish?  It comes from Captain Pugwash, an old kid's cartoon, and it's actually "All aboard the Skylark" ..... anyway :)

So again, let's do this a little differently.   Why should you buy this one ?

    * Zoya's brush is smaller than OPI's so the application tends to be neater
* the colour on this is much more intense than the OPIs.  Steve, I'm starting to agree with you that the OPI formula got thinner
* this doesn't shrink - both Herring and Rotterdam have shrunk badly on me
* it's almost impossible to see, but the shimmer in this is gold and also rainbow coloured.  There are the teensiest little particles in here (you can see them best when wet) which remind me of a top coat of ILM Northern Lights
* this feels more blue and less greyed out than the OPIs

To be fair, you can justify this and Rotterdam.  It's much harder to justify this and Herring as they are only a micro-smidge dissimilar.   This also has tonal commonalities with Butter London Victoriana, and again, you might want to take that into account.

Personally, I much preferred the formula on this to the OPIs AND this only needed 2 coats.

After I've posted this and the 2 OPIs I will do you a big comparison post so you can pick the one that's best for you :)

Enjoy xx  :)
