Zoya - Valerie

Nails I Love

ZOYA Valerie

Hi Goddesses

Oh Valerie, Valerie, how do I love thee?  Let me count the ways …. Oh, this polish is just to die for …

Valerie is the spirit of autumn.  She has the decayed heart so essential to the season, the ability to rock and rot in equal measure, and a whole lot of multi-tonal amazingness going on.

I love Valerie.  Lots.  I bought her months ago and have been saving her for autumn, and autumn is definitely her season.  She swirls around in a coat of many colours – purple, fuschia, russet, red, gold, orange and brown – and she ROCKS IT !!

I also love that Valerie has her “day look” and her “night look”.  Get her in normal light and you’ll be knocked out by her autumnal shimmer, how she dances with the leaves and flashes red and gold to keep warm.

Get her in the night lights and she becomes a startled purple bird, flashing violet flecked wings – man, she is GORGEOUS in this light.   Her flecking is truly beautiful, making her look like a speckled magic bird from Purple Land.  She has feathers, she has wings, she has roots – this is one delicious bird.

More than anything, Valerie reminds me of the skin of a black cherry, and how that veers through several shades of red, black, purple, gold and green, reacting to the light.  Valerie is exactly the same – she is always showing at least 2 colours, and 3 if she’s feeling confident.

This is a traffic-stopper of a polish girls – grab her, cherish her, and use her to death, cos she is oh so worth it J

Aside – I had Jem from the Smoke & Mirrors Collection and got rid of it when I saw a couple of posts which showed these 2 to be almost dead on dupes.  You don’t need both in your life, but whichever goddess you pick, you won’t be disappointed.

Enjoy xx J

Top Tip – if you’re ever unsure what a nail colour looks like, go to Google images, which will give you plenty of contrasts and compares.
