Pink Sponged Gradient

Nails I Love

PINK NAILS FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

Hi Goddesses

I have been very preoccupied with October being Depression Awareness Month.  Having suffered with it off and on for half my adult life, I am passionate about raising awareness of it, and kind of overlooked the other cause that is equally deserving in October – Breast Cancer Awareness.

So, here are my pink nails.  I had wanted to crack out the Starry Pink by REVLON and decided to go a gradient with this as the base.  I hoped the glitter might then just peek through the other colour – and it did! Hurrah!

Starry Pink is incredibly sheer, but beautiful, so a minimum of 2 patient coats are required.  For the pink I chose WET N WILD’s FuchsiaRama a jellyish magenta of superb pigmentation and brightness.

For the first time I used a sponge with big holes in – and loved it!  But it was VERY absorbent, so as much polish ended up in the sponge as on the nail!

The jellyish nature of FuchsiaRama gave this a perfection I hadn’t anticipated – once the super glossy Poshe was also in place, this glistened like it was WET.

PS the ring finger is accented with NOPI / Justine Bieber Step 2 The Beat of My Heart.

Gorgeous – love it J

Top Tip – if you’re ever unsure what a nail colour looks like, go to Google images, which will give you plenty of contrasts and compares.
