10 More Things I've Learnt About Nail Polish

Nails I Love

10 More Things I’ve Learnt About Nail Polish since the last time …

I wrote the original 10 Things I’ve Learnt About Nail Polish back in August, probably about 6 weeks into my obsession lol.  Since then, it’s proved one of my most popular blogs (I think it’s the 2nd most viewed of them all, only Glitter Gal green has had more), and as I’ve learnt a LOT in the last 2 months, I thought it would be a good idea to update it.  You can still read the original here

  1. PAA.  Polish-aholics Anonymous.  There’s a whole group of people for people like us.  Goddesses who eat, sleep and dream polish.  It’s like a family.  These girls UNDERSTAND you and your strange compulsions lol – PAA I love you all xxx
  2. Glitter Sandwich – love em.  This is where you do 1 layer of polish, 1 layer of glitter, then another layer of polish – looks awesome
  3. Wet n Wild.  I’d never heard of this American brand before but I love them love them love them.  They do awesome colours and are really “out there” in trying to push what a polish can do.
  4. Holo.  Holographic polishes – like Glitter Gal, some CGs and OPI DS – and holographic glitters that instantly add fairy dust to any mani. If you want to hypnotise yourself and get nothing done all day cos you’re so consumed with staring at your nails, holo is the way to go J
  5. Color Club – again, another American brand I’d never heard of.  Fab bottle, brush and application, and every colour under the rainbow, as well as holos and glitters.  And they’re crazy cheap.  What’s not to love?
  6. Zoya Remove.  If you want to use a remover that doesn’t damage your nails, use this.  Not only that, it makes them feel conditioned.  Love this soooo hard.
  7. Chalkboard Nails – the new Goddess in town.  Sarah’s nails are amazing, her photos are amazing, her artwork is crazy amazing.  I love her and jealously hate her in equal measure xxx  J  joking, it’s only love.
  8. Nail Nerd and Nailside.  If you want to look at amazing nails, this is where you go.  If you want to wonder “how on earth do they do that”, this is where you go.  Probably the 2 best bloggers out there for designs
  9. Spectraflair.  Lori Hill Shadow, thank you for changing my world. SF is a fairy dust that you add to your frankens to make them go HOLO.  Yes, yes, yes.
  10. Poshe top coat.  The super shiniest glossiest top coat on the market, and it dries fast.

Whatever you’re doing today, may the love of polish go with you J

Til next time J

Top Tip – if you’re ever unsure what a nail colour looks like, go to Google images, which will give you plenty of contrasts and compares.
